The Experience

Our first phone chat or in-person meeting is when we discuss your goals for the session, the products you envision for your home, the session location and wardrobe plan. Portrait fee and signed portrait agreement are due within 7 days to confirm your date on the calendar. 1. Pre-session Consult
You will receive a special gift in your mailbox. Our portrait welcome packet is your formal welcome to our studio and includes all the information you need about the session, our products, and shooting for success. Our clients love it! 2. Portrait Welcome Packet
3. Wardrobe Selection My favorite part...the clothes! We will be discussing wardrobe selection during the pre-session consult. The most important thing to keep in mind is the decor in your home. These images will be going on your walls so dress like you like to decorate. We recommend working from a palette of 4-5 colors that will work well with your session location and your home decor.
Please be ready to go at your session time. Let kids know we will be having a fun time together. Try not to put pressure on them and especially never, EVER, mention the "cheese" word! We will shoot for approximately one hour and then I will go back to the studio to edit and prep your images for our order session, which takes place in 1-2 weeks at the studio. 4. Portrait Session
The week before your order session, I will send you a link to our Studio Look Book, or product gallery, which explains all your product options in depth, with stunning imagery. Be sure to measure any walls where you are considering adding portraits. Phone snaps are also great to bring or send over before our order session, which will make planning a breeze. 5. Measure Walls for Portraits
This is the best part! This appointment is when you will see all of your images for the first time and place your order. Remember to bring any wall measurements and images to help you with your wall art placement. You will also be able to see our heirloom albums, frames, canvases, and custom cards at this meeting and select the products that are the best fit for your family. Payment for products is due at this meeting. 6. In-Person Order Session
In approximately 3-4 weeks, I will call you to give you the great news: everything is ready for pickup/delivery. We will make a date for you to come to the studio or for us to deliver your order. 7. Portraits Ready
Your family will happily enjoy art on your walls, keepsake albums and gift portraits for generations to come. 8. Happily Ever After
